Editor's note
The Dream Downtown features a unique outdoor pool with a glass-bottom and porthole windows, contributing to its eclectic design. Although closed in winter, it creates a resort-like atmosphere in the middle of Manhattan, especially for rooms with a pool view. The pool appears to be a distinctive architectural element of the hotel.

What guests say about the pool
Even though it’s winter and the pool was closed, the balcony overlooking the pool still added a really fun, resort-like vibe in the middle of Manhattan.
If you're looking for a trendy hotel in an amazing location with a vibe, then you'll feel like a winner at the Dream Downtown, a Hyatt property in New York City. Nestled between the uber-cool Meatpacking District and fashionable Chelsea neighborhoods, the hotel offers quirky, yet luxurious rooms and a great pool.
I was initially concerned about noise based on other reviews, but my assigned inward-facing suite (combined with the pool being closed for the season) made it one of the quietest rooms I have stayed in within Manhattan.
